Description

This is my contest entry for "A Dream Come True" by Morten-Chan
Here are the contest details: fav.me/d7vkzvp

I decided to draw a happy bride because a lot of young girls dream of becoming brides one day. A lot of girls I know have been through a number of failed relationships. It is my dream to see them one day happily married with the one man/woman/partner that can make them happy. (Me too, of course!)

Hello, I´m from :iconprojectcomment:´s game Comment Tag and my tag word was Happyness and this picture speaks to itself.

Let's start with the background. It's simplyty and warmth that
evokes, it's a enough to fill the viewer with a feeling of relief and happyness.
And it helps a lot at matching and emphasizing the bride in the center of atention.
Needless to say that her expression speaks nothing else than emotional accomplishment and excitement.
Also nervousness, the fact that the future husband is not present, it gives a new vibe.
Like she already knows whom is her man, yet she waits patiently, confident, to see that her dream came true.
Also I like the card-like picture, with the visible accessories, and the roses.

About the anatomy, don't know why but her head seems a little too big, with the size to the shoulders.
I like the skin shading, and it would be even nicer if you use more thin lines, maybe adopt a more realistic style. Still keep it cartoony/anime.
There may be added  few shade of shadow here and there, where the pressure of the clothing is visible, and the arms are covering the dress.
Try experiment new colors instead of the darker shade of colors. For example: milky white dress, the shadow can be a soft then more stronger shade of dark blue-grey color.
And about the thin lines, it would be best used at the hair, since it a little confusing to discern the actuall color (blonde?) from the lines.

By the way, I reaaly like the dress, it's suuper beuatiful, and kinda matches the one I have in mind. Just in case ;)

Anyways, keep up what you do, 'cause you're doing it great! Just practice and have fun!
